Purdue Friends in Texas

Over Presidents' Day weekend, the girls traveled to Houston to see Divya, Alex, and the newest Boilermaker, Annika.  It was a great weekend of relaxing, shopping, and taking pictures of the babies.  I made tutus and bows for the babies.  They were red, white, and blue to celebrate the holiday. They turned out great!  Here are a few (wink) pictures.

Hannah and Lucy on their way to meet their new friend.
Lucy and Annika meeting for the first time.
When I went up to bed one night, this is how I found Lucy.  Her paci was by her ear.  Not sure how that happened.  :)
Lucy was barely rolling at this time, but she was already pretty flexible!
This is a sweet picture of Lucy.  She was a little fussy while we were there, running a low fever.  She was a trooper though.
Get cuter! (Annika)
I love this smile!  (Hannah)
Auntie Kel with the girls in their "auntie" t-shirts.
I love this one of the 3 friends together!  Martha's daughter Hannah is on the left, and Divya's daughter, Annika, is in the middle.  Hannah and Annika are 3 months.  Lucy is 5 months.

Another of the 3 littlest Boilermakers.
This is the only picture we got of all of us together.  Early in the morning...before most of us were ready for the day.

February 2012

Here are some pictures from February.  It was a mostly average plus Lucy and I took a trip to Houston, TX to see the Purdue girls including new baby Annika!

We took a walk one afternoon when it wasn't too cold.  There is a picture of Lucy in the back of the stroller, but it is too dark to even see her face.  I had the blankets wrapped all around with a whole for her to breathe.

Rylan is usually pretty affectionate.  One morning when I was getting ready I came back in the living room and he was sitting with his arm around her giving her a kiss.  What a sweet boy!

Lucy was still so tiny in February!  Here is a picture of her in an outfit from our good friends the Hummels.  She is a "Little Angel"!

Lucy started eating baby food.  She had very little trouble enjoying the new items.
Here it is all over her face.  :)

January 2012

Happy New Year!
(I know I'm a year behind, I am determined to catch up.)
This was a slow picture month with the start back to school and daycare.  Lucy transitioned pretty well to daycare.  Rylan had more of an adjustment back to full time, and did great once we were back in the routine.  We love our daycare.  It is close to my work, and I know the kids are in great hands.
In January, we discovered Rylan's tubes had fallen out.  No wonder he wasn't feeling well.

Lucy is 4 months old!  She is still around 13lbs.

Lucy cut 2 teeth in January.  This picture is fuzzy, but they are there.  I noticed them one night when she was using my finger as a teething ring.  She didn't really fuss or anything.  She cut teeth very fast.  All 4 on the bottom came in right away.

She started sleeping in her own bed.

Rylan is getting so big.  He is officially 2 1/2.

He liked to sit in Lucy's seat.  She was still a little small for it, and his legs seem so long here.

He thought he might try the potty every now and then.  Here he is practicing the states while sitting.

I love this picture of him reading EVERY book on his shelf!

Christmas 2011

December was a busy month and the last month of my maternity leave.  It was a rough day when I decided to return to work 3 weeks earlier than originally planned.  It all turned out fine, and we enjoyed the time with our family.  Eric and Cindy also came home for Christmas.  We had a great time.  Here are some pictures to highlight the holiday season.

Rylan loved playing in the snow.
This is just too cute not to include in this post.

Here is Lucy in here Christmas tutu.
Here is Lucy on Christmas Eve.  She enjoyed watching from the corner.

Ryan joined Rylan for his nap on Christmas.
Lucy and Grandpa Grandpa Kring.  We treasure this picture because Grandpa passed away in November of 2012.
Here is the Christmas present I made for our Moms.  It has a word for every month.
